Roach and Holmes are going to cause a lot of trouble for opponents this year!! Roach hustled all over the pitch. Lots of new faces. Pais made some great saves and Newport is going to be interesting to watch. MST really controlled the second half and had a lot of good chances. The game could have been a tie. Looking at the roster the local and Missouri influence is much more apparent this year.

My take was that SLU was clearly the better team. I actually would have given the edge to SLU in the 2nd half.

Agree that Missouri State had two excellent scoring chances that were stopped by Pais. I wonder if Pais might be the best keeper that SLU has. He is a great athlete, as his NIKE SPARQ testing verified during his most recent USDA season.
