Why don't you guy's bit_h when SLYSA takes all week to post scores? Oh yea it's not that important when all the "A" teams are beating everybody and since those (most) are not in this indoor tournament you would like to see the scores in your favor
Have a happy new year. My resoulution is not to post on this site anymore  Let's see how long that last.

I'm sure alot people are keeping an eye on the Vetta tournament, alot of the top teams are in it. I also think the girls that are playing do care, even if it is only "indoor". Just me but i would rather watch a u-11 indoor game than a high school girls basketball game.

Here are some that I know ( or are pretty sure )of...

WC Michalek 3 Vardar 0
WC Mertens 4 WC Grisham 3
SLSG Valencia was ahead of SLSG Berlin by more than 5 last night.
SLSG Arsenal was ahead of WC Grisham by more than 5 last night.
SLSG Aston Villa 5 WC Mertens 3 (that was in the middle of the 3rd period, when I had to get home to put together an Incredibles jigsaw puzzle).

SLSG Arsenal 4 SLSG Valencia 3 (pretty sure of that).
SLSG Aston Villa 6 SLSG Berlin 1

That should cover all the action so far....

SLSG - Arsenal (Litschgi) is 2-0 so far after victories over SLSG - Hubert and WC Arsenal - Grisham.

WC Arsenal - Mertens had one win over WC - Grisham, but played played SLSG - Rooney last night. I don't know the score of that one.

SLSG - Hubert is 1-1 with the loss to SLSG - Litschgi and a win over a SLYSA B Gallagher team. I believe they are SLSG - Berlin.

Wow!! Be my guest DC. I'll take the hoops, thanks. Many great tourneys this week.

I always love to hear the phrase "the top teams" at U11. DC, tell me, what exactly does that mean? Does that mean the record indicates the best teams? Are the top teams the ones who play up? Are they the A division teams? What about teams that just play tourneys and dont play in a division....could they be a top team? How would you know?

What about an established team (2 years together) that beats a new team in August, but isnt trained as well as that same team they beat? Who is better in the spring? If those same two teams stay together 2 more years and the "top team" still isnt trained as well as the lesser team, then who is the top team of those two after the two years? Is it possible that a "top team" at U11 is an average team, or even nonexistent team at U13?

I want to hear your philosophy on top teams DC.

Game ended 8-3, advantage Rooney. WC Arsenal had a 3-2 lead early in the second period, but talent took over the game.

Wilber come on the Parents decide who are the top teams.

Oh yea soccer0808 did you check out the sports section in the Post-Dispatch today? They had all the scores of this tournament along with shots on goal, saves, fouls, who scored, and who had assits. It's was kool.

Come on parents for godness sake these are 5th grade girls and over half of these girls will be passed up talent wise or quit the game in the next 4 years. Believe me this does happen. But live thier dreams while you can

Last weeks national rankings for the U11 girls went like this:

1) Duke Dribblers out of Winston Salem, NC (They are a top team in their area)
2) Top Corner FC from Sacramento, CA (they have been a top team since U6)
3) Mini Mia's Soccer Club out of Scottsdale, AZ (they have been a top team since they learned to walk)
4) Pretty Preki's out of Staten Island, NY (they have been in the top 5 since conception-their moms all said they really did a lot of kicking in the womb)
5) Whatever team DC is associated with (you know that has to be a top team)

Those are the latest from the "Are You Kidding Soccer Magazine"

Must have hit a nerve with some of the parents. Did not mean to upset anybody, was just wondering why high school basketball scores were posted on this thread? Wilber are you that bored with soccer? As for how to rank the teams, I never have or never will. All I said was some of the top teams from the age group. If you don't agree that is your choice.

No nerve hit DC. We parents with U11 kids are not qualified to make statements about our age group or ask about schedules, scores etc... Soccer 0808 - you should understand that also. I know that this sports thing is all new to you. Its not like you have coached and taught for the last 15 years. What I propose is that we all send Practice Hard and 50/50 personal messages with our proposed posts prior to actually posting them so we can understand what are appropriate and inappropriate topics. Maybe when we hit U13 and above, we can then be tasked to review the U11 thread and criticize those parents for asking about who is playing who and who won what game in an indoor tourney.

On another note - I do believe that some of the "top teams" are indeed in the Vetta Tourney at the U11 age group and Soccer 0808, didn't #9 have 1 goal, 3 assists, 4 fouls and 7 steals. I read it on STLtoday.com. Tell her great job.

Wilber - you are overestimating some of our levels of deductive reasoning - that spartan education does not allow me to think on that many levels at once.

50/50, Practice Hard, etc..... - we all look forward to our next lesson.

JB Rasch 2 WC Michalek 1
WC Grisham 4 SLSG Berlin 0
SLSG Arsenal 3 WC Mertens 2

Not sure of JB Rasch-Vardar, JB Meek-WC Michalek, SLSG Valencia-SLSG Aston Villa.

The Rasch Michalek game was very good.
