tournament

That's a good win for Belleville West. Who scored their goals? You can't always rely on the paper to post the scores.

Does anyone know what Althoff did against Carbondale?

Yes, I heard O'fallon won 4-1. Watch out for this team they're young but talented.

Why should the BND cover anything but Altholff... The rest of the Illinois teams are playing No-ONE! Strength of Schedule :D !!!

I would never have schedule G.C & then Carbondale the 1st week of the season... Pretty Ballsy on the Crusaders AD/Coaching staff..

Going a little overboard with the STRENGH OF SCHEDULE thing, not counting any tourneys, they play the same schedule as other people.
Gc and Carbondale are tough teams to start the season, granted but I think Collinsville has a tougher overall schedule than Althoff.

schedule

Postby Calhi » Tue Mar 24, 2009 3:44 pm

Althoff needs to get a few more stronger St. Louis teams on their schedule. They have too many weak teams in their conference.

I think Incarnate, Nerinx, St. Joe's, Ursuline and Cor Jesu would be great teams to get on their schedule. It would prepare them a little better for playoffs when they play the Chicago teams.

Althoff is playing in the Adidas Tournament of Champions in Burlington, IA. the weekend of May 1-2, 2009 as is Belleville West.

Althoff opens that event against Springfield, MO. Glendale and then would play either Liberty, MO or Lake Forest, IL. In the other 1/2 of their bracket is Waunakee WI, St. Charles IL North, Viz, and St. Thomas Aquinas.

Belleville West plays Ozark MO, Whitefish Bay WI, and then a team from a group of Park Hill South, Racine WI. Horlick, and Columbia Rock Bridge

You can go to www.tournamentofchampionsonline.com to see more info on this event.

Yes, it sound like she had a good game. Now can she do the same thing against Alton, Collinsville, O'fallon, and Altoff, or do they have enough talent to contain her.

They'll be able to contain her for the most part. She an ok player, but not very fast so not hard to defend if you have decent players going against her, which Collinsville, Alton and Althoff does. Several players from all three of those schools know her CR well enough from club to know how to defend her. She's not explosive enough to beat players without having the speed factor.

Good win for Collinsville, they dominated play for most of the first and the second half, Alton coach believe defense wins games, difference in game was Alton in the crossbar which would have took the lead but Collinsville kept playing and scored, Alton midfield dosent play both ends of the field.
