Spiess is 2 goals away from setting the Chaminade record for goals (currently held by Tim Collico at 35)

There's no debate, Speiss is good. Why diss the players who has distinguished themselves as leaders of the Class 1 and Class 2? If you start making adjustments because you feel the the Class 1 and Class 2 don't play anyone, then you have to discount the victories (and goals) from school, such as Chaminade, for their wins against schools from the Class 1 and Class 2 category. Would you consider giving bonus points to Class 1 and Class 2 schools if they defeat schools from Class 3? How about triple the bonus if a Class 1 or Class 2 should defeat a school from the powerful MCC? Where would it end?

I don't think anyone wants to start a BSC(?) rating for Missouri Soccer?

Being a spectator I believe that Spiess is a good player, but he owes more than half of his goals to the poor boy Roach. I am not dissing Spiess, but I feel that he is lucky to have as many goals as he has right now.

Good Luck Chaminade !

What a shame that injuries prevented a truly great team from advancing.
Chaminade was at the top of the class of Missouri soccer.

It's a shame the season ended the way it did.. a terrible accident which in reality wiped out all the success CCP experienced the entire season. Hopefully Roach will recover fully and lead CCP to another state championship next year.

What time did the Thursday match kickoff? 3PM, 3:15 or 3:30?

From a totally neutral perspective it seems the administrators of this match screwed up IMO. They did not think allow for the possibility for extra time??????

why doesnt chaminade have lights in the first place. Just about every other school has lights on their fields, and its not like chaminade cant afford it. They have a great field, but you cant host districts on a field with no lights, when there is sometimes 2-3 games a day. When planning this, did they just ignore that fact or did they really believe this wouldnt happen.

Neighbors will not allow them to put lights on the soccer field. They have houses behind the bench side.

CCP looked great in first half vs CBC, then lulled a bit in 2h and looked supect in the back allowing CBC to tie the game. CBC had some good sequences from 45 to 65 min mark. CCP then showed how they can light it up when they scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to win 5-2. Roach and Stoll are dangerous up top. Ramsey had a great game as well. Look for CCP and SLUH to be the teams to beat this year. CBC seemed young.

Toebash, I'm rooting for CCP but thought they were sloppy early on in the first half when they left Collico out to dry on what was supposed to be a passback to the goalie which instead turned into a pass to a CBC striker. They got sloppy again early on in the second when a scrum in the box led to the second goal. No doubt, they have incredible talent and watching Roach is a delight. Stoll too is really on top of his game. If they are going to beat SLUH they are going to have to step it up defensively quite a few notches. Fortunately, they've got Collico and Clendenny to anchor it. They can do it though. May have been a case of knowing they could beat CBC at will and they just were not at 100% motivation.

CCP program is doing well. Freshman are still undefeated, B just clinched the MCC B division, and varsity continues to roll despite recent key losses including Stoll and Collico.

Article on their come from behind 2-1 win over DeSmet (CCP is now 3-0 in MCC with SLUH up later this month):

Noticed an error in the Post Dispatch article, Collico is a junior, not a sophomore at CCP.
