Does anyone know who Marco Cherisma is? He scored 5 goals in Drury's last game and I read that he went to East Central. I haven't gotten a chance to see him play. Is he as good as it sounds? Anyone see him play at East Central? Where is he from?

Delray Beach FL is where he played his HS soccer according to the Drury website. I haven't had a chance to talk to him in-depth yet but plan to this weekend when SIU-E comes to town. His teammates have been very high on him from the very beginning of practice this year.

I think he was originally born in Haiti. I could be wrong about the country, but I'm pretty certain he was originally born somewhere in the Caribbean and then moved to Florida before he went into high school.

Marco Cherisma must not be bad, he was in Faces In The Crowd in Sports Illustrated.

Cherisma is the real deal. I think he should have been a first team all-conference selection but he was probably screwed by the team's conference record.

Most likely. I've never seen this kid play but he seems like a stud.

I saw Drury beat Truman State yesterday 3-1. Cherisma scored three goals, one of which was a bicycle kick. He's by far the best forward in the GLVC. He finished the season with 20 goals.

I saw that goal he scored and it was AMAZING. He's definitely a stud.

Marco Cherisma is selected 1st team All-Region. Odd that he only made 2nd Team All-GLVC.

Congrats to the Drury women's team who have advanced to the round of 16. They beat West Virginia Wesleyan in the 1st round 2-0 and SIUE in the second round 3-0.

Congratulatons to the DU men!

GLVC regular season champs, rated #3 nationally and #1 in the midwest by NSCAA.

Today they're GLVC tournament champs too and bound for the NCAA-II tourney next weekend.

While they aren't exactly a "local" team for all of us here in STL, they are an exciting team to watch, and the roster has some local faces.

Go Panthers!

Going into the NCAA-II tournament, the DU men are up a notch to the #2 rank nationally in the final regular season NSCAA poll.

Their first NCAA-II tournament appearance is Friday night in Springfield facing #17 Northern Kentucky - 7:00 pm.

That's to bad that their first game is against a GLVC team. Would be great to play someone that have not played...twice.
