Just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me how many games SLSG plays in their U9 boys spring league?

slsg spring league

Postby defender69 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:00 am

Does anyone know how they split the legue up? If they only play 8 games then they dont all play each other. Do they have a few divisions in this league?

They have 2 divisions. The A division only plays 7 games...as of now, even though they were sent a invoice for 10 games.

Does any of the games at the SLSG ever get rained out? I know they have the artificial surface but jsut curious if they let them play on it all spring.

Does anyone have any clue who the A teams are in this division yet?

I have been a referee at games at the Scott Gallagher complex last fall that were called due to cold, it was probably in the low 20s, and one other time due to a monsoon, it was raining so hard and the wind was blowing so hard, they had no choice. But I do not know if they have any weather condition guide line.

anyone who has the scores of the u-9 bracket please post. Very curious to see who won this group. I know that Bayern Munich game and Mcmahon game had to be good as well ad the AC Milan - Thunder game.

Please post if you have the scores.

Thanks

Finals of the Shooting Stars Tournament McMahon 2 AC Milan 0.

Obviously, McMahon beat Bayern Munich, but I don't know the score.

Bayern Munich and Portsmouth tied 1-1 on Saturday.

Who is the Thunder?

thank for the update. I thought there was a Sikeston Thunder team playing that made a pretty good showing in Memphis last November.
Sounds like Mcmahon Ford is a team to be reckoned with in this age group. I really thought the finals would be Bayern Munich and AC Milan. Really cant wait see what the SLSG Club can do when they merge some of those teams together.

I think I heard the Sikeston v. AC Milan score was 3-0 AC Milan. I saw the Sikeston team play a bit. They were extremely physical and had a huge kid that would shoot from the center circle at kickoff.

yea

Postby defender69 » Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:08 am

yeah thats the team, they are very physical and pretty fast. The SLSG Man U team and the Ac Milan teams both beat them in Memphis but they were pretty close games. Mcmahon ended up beating Man U in the finals of that tourney also. Semms like the Mcmahon team has all the SLSG theams number. I know the Man U team played them to a 3-3 tie in the SLSG friedlies last fall but not sure if the Mcmahon Ford team has had a loss yet. Very impressive!!
