JB Rooney has been the most dominant so far. SLSC Schaefering is quality.

No Iron Kids team yet, SLSC Schaefering is the most competitive. SLSC Hacker was the other team at SCCYSA, and didn't compete at as high of a level.

the third slsc team beats shaefering and hacker handily in the bush developmental league. They havent played scyssa yet for some reason. But what i hear, they are pretty dominating so far. Not sure the coaches name though.

JB Marine - Rooney beat Schaeffering's U9 team i the Cougars indoor Tourney. They look very talented and play a nice "team" style.

Kind of scary that there are U8 teams already out there though....

yeah, there honestly should no be any threads about this age...i think they should make the age a minimum of u-13 before people start talking....it sickening knowing that parents of U-8 parents are comparing teams...at this age, let the kids go out there and have fun....thats what it's all about.

:?: Maybe this is how the U-10 girls got to 108 pages (and counting) by the ages of 9 and 10? Let's not get crazy too soon. Now back I go to the U-10 page for some more entertainment! 8)

two very good u8 teams are fun to watch play. There isnt that much difference between u8 and u9. A little strength is all. Between the ages of 8-13 is the best time for girls to play in my opinion. (they are coachable and they havent discovered boys yet )

I dont think anybody is taking things to serious here, we know its just fun. I believe most of the age groups that started threads started at u-8. Just shooting the breeze.

agree. 8 is a great age for these girls , and it is alot of fun for the parents to watch also. Age 8 begins the entire select soccer process.

I was able to watch the JB U8 team play a U9 Ironkids team tonight...they did not win, but the older team just played "boot the ball" style soccer. I could see that the younger JB team was still trying to stick to they way they had been coached / trained....control/ posess/ pass the ball.

Any of you U8 JB parents reading this should be proud of those little girls, the score did not show it, but anyone watching would know that they are playing great soccer. Hope they keep sticking to their guns, so to say, and don't change their style.

Good luck in the future, I'm sure we will be hearing alot about them later on !!

i know what you mean. The scores dont indicate how good a team is really going to be. Any team at this young age can keep 2-3 defenders back and play 'boot' style soccer. But lets see that team in 2-3 years. A skilled team will be beating that style team easily. Ball skill is the key right now.
