Featured Session - Playing Like Barcelona: Through Phase of Play
ASET, in conjunction with the Missouri Youth Soccer Association, provided a National D License coaching course. One session offered by ASET consisted of a lecture and practical session titled 'Playing Like Barcelona: Through Phase of Play'. The lecture described the socio-political and footballing aspects that make Barcelona, Mes Que un Club (More Than a Club). The field exercises consisted of a warm-up containing blind side runs, wall passes and double passes. The session progressed with a phase of play coaching method by building out of each third of the field; defending third, middle third, and attacking third.
